Monday-Monday, May 11 - 18: *You will all create a sign and/or short letter to the 8th grade class of 2020... kind of like a good luck message to them that will be presented at their virtual graduation ceremony. Let's try to do a fantastic job for them, since they missed out on a lot of their 8th grade events this school year. *There are a few ways you can do this:
Make an actual sign of you holding it up and have a family member take a pic of you holding your sign. Email or text this to me.
Take a clear picture of the sign you made, and email/text it to me.
Create a sign on the computer using docs or something similar. Upload it to my email or send in text to me.
Have someone take a pic of you holding up this printed computer-generated sign wishing the 8th grade well.
Hold up your computer, showing the sign you made, as your family member takes a picture of you holding the sign on the computer.
*This assignment is due by this Monday, 5/18, but the sooner the better so I have time to compile these pics into a short slide show for the 8th grade. *Put a lot of effort into this project! You will receive a religion grade for this!

For example, tell him how you've found different ways for prayer during this time. Tell him what you've learned about yourself throughout this time, and what you've been doing with your family. Tell him something positive, how we miss him, etc. Tell him about the St. Joseph altars you built the other week. Just keep it about a paragraph long or a little longer if you have more to write. Don't forget to add the date, greeting (Dear Fr. Paul,), body (what you want to write to him), the closing (From, Sincerely, Blessings, etc....), and your signature/name under the closing. 2.) When you finish, please email me the letter in an attachment, submit it into Google Classroom, or you can take a CLEAR picture of it, and attach it to an email or text for me. 3.) I plan on compiling all these letters for Fr. Paul into one document and email them him this week. :) 4.) We all need some cheering up and it would be nice to say hello to Fr. Paul and tell him how much we appreciate him! :) 5.) I would like this letter to be turned into me by Thursday, 4/23. Thank you.

Assignments for Monday 4/6 - Thursday 4/9/2020: *7th GRADE HOLY WEEK REFLECTIONS: *Watch the Holy Week video above, then answer the reflection questions below.
1.) On Monday of Holy Week, we remember Jesus’ teachings to his disciples, including the greatest command: to love God and our neighbors (Matthew 22:37-40). How can we demonstrate love to God and our neighbors this Holy Week? 2.) On Holy Thursday, we remember Judas’ betrayal, the disciples’ abandonment and Peter’s denial. What are ways we betray, abandon or deny Jesus? 3.) On Good Friday, we remember the sacrifice of Jesus to endure torture and death on a cross. How might we express gratitude to Jesus? 4.) On Saturday of Holy Week, we remember the disciples as they experienced what they considered to be the silence of God in the midst of their fear. Consider our own need for faith to believe God is at work even when we can’t see it. How do you think this is especially applied to our lives in the past few weeks? Explain.
