Hello! My name is Jennifer Blecka and I am the 8th Grade homeroom, Reading, Religion, Art, and Computer teacher. I also instruct the 7th Grade Religion and Computer classes, as well as 5th – 8th Grade English/Language Arts classes. I enjoy being the moderator of the Student Council Committee because we participate in community service projects, run fundraisers, give to various charities, as well as lead numerous student activities. I am also one of the camp directors for St. Constance Summer Camp/Program.
I grew up in the Jefferson Park neighborhood and am a proud alumna of St. Constance School! (See if you can find my graduation picture hanging up in the Alumni Hall!) I graduated from Resurrection High School and went on to Northeastern University where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English. Shortly after that, I began my teaching career at St. John Berchman School teaching second grade for two years. I continued my teaching career back home, at St. Constance School, as the 5th Grade homeroom & Intermediate Division English/Language Arts instructor. During that time, I earned my Middle School Endorsement at Northeastern University. Three years later, I became the Upper Division English/Language Arts instructor while continuing as the 5th Grade homeroom teacher. This is my 18th year teaching at St. Constance School, and I am now the 8th Grade homeroom teacher. I am really looking forward to what’s in store for this school year!
